This week I received a circular letter from a friend. She works for Jesus among the Indians of America. Your initial thoughts have just got raised. Here's a (shortened) Excerpt:

Praying noticed a few days ago I frowned as I sounded really selfish. All my prayers turned to it that God would help people - so I do not need it! "Oh Lord, please do that so and realize that you love her." - Oh yeah? A warm feeling of God instead of a few friendly words and a hug from me? "Oh Lord, please let the baby of so and be healthy again." - Or maybe I should go call times and the young mother and child to the hospital to ...?
