Yesterday afternoon I sat with my Diet Coke at Subway. Through the speakers boomed the song of ACDC Highway to hell . (Highway to hell) This song was the breakthrough for the band in 1979. The following year, joined the singer in the journey to reality. On 19 February he died, drunk, on his own vomit in the back seat of a car.
Why sing people about the hell that was created for the devil himself and his demons (Matthew 25:41) , " where their worm does not die and the fire is not extinguished " (Mark 9:48) where " weeping and gnashing of teeth" does not stop (Luke 13:28) ?
The song describes the way to hell as a single party, easy life, liberty, no questions, no laws, free travel. Satan has paid the entrance fee. Not only is life is a party, it leads to a party with all friends in the underground land of promise.
I notice a lot. First, the song describes our affluent society. Second, it implies that everything in life and then makes fun of the devil is, who thinks it just fine with us. Accordingly, what offers the other side, Jesus, stuffy, boring and stuffy.
