concerns often give a small thing a big shadow!
(Swedish proverb)
Hudson Taylor lived an eventful, exciting and blessed life. He is the founder of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship and worked for many years as a missionary in China. Hudson Taylor was an excellent piece of advice when it comes to worry. He said:
Let our work, our plans, ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, our influence, are all that we have and - Passed in God's hands. Then when we pass it all, then we have nothing left that we could present problems. "
We are approaching the end of our" cares week. "The last time we do today, 1 Peter 5:6-8 View
Sun humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God now,
to increase it to you in his time!
all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Be sober and wake up! For walks around your adversary the devil,
like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour;
Yesterday we had seen in the context of verse 7 verse sixth Worries leave may initially be humiliating, but it's very liberating, because God cares about it.
But verse 8 seems to be associated with attending to stand. How can we be sober and watch, when our hearts and thoughts are weighed down with worry. Concerns make us easy prey for the enemy of God. They draw our attention away from Jesus, pointed to us. Worries clogging our ears and we run into danger, because we no longer hear the roar of the lion. to cast our cares on Jesus and let him worry free, and we receive our attention and energies that we need to be victorious and to stand.
Perhaps many of our concerns are also simply a diversion of the devil. He wants to divert our attention away from Jesus, through to our concerns, so he has an easier game with us and we are useless to the cause of our King.
