you coming off alone to a deserted place and rest a little! (Mark 6:31)
When Jesus addressed these words to His disciples, they were surrounded by a crowd. to people who were starving after, taught by Jesus. wanted people to see Jesus, people that Jesus and His disciples were so busy that they do not even have time to eat were.
midst of this service to the needy, Jesus asks His disciples to retire and rest. Perhaps the disciples would have chosen another time to do it themselves, a time when less was going on, the fewer people sought help. But the Lord knows that peace is necessary, even if we believe that the work could not do without us and the service is at an all time high. Not for nothing the Lord has given us one day in seven, collect on the rest and new forces are. It does not pay, the principle that God has given us to neglect. The work we will not run away, rest and forces already! How did your day of rest has made lately?
